Pre-Assessment
Students will take a short, multiple-choice pre-assessment over Resumes. Students will then be placed into groups according to the number of questions they answered correctly. The quiz used for the pre-assessment can be accessed by clicking on the document link.
Core Activity
Students will be placed into groups of two (or three if need be). These groups will be made up of students with the same level of readiness (though not known to them). Students will use various websites and references to research the art of Resume Writing. Upon the completion of research, students will present their findings to the class by use of some type of visual media. This can include, but is not limited to: PowerPoint, Photo Story, Prezi, etc.

and four suggested websites to visit:
Students in this group will be expected to have
a total of 7 to 9 slides in their presentation.
Integration of Technology
Each group will be conducting their research using the Internet. Each group will also present their findings with the use of some type of visual media (PowerPoint, Photo Story, Prezi). Each group will have the option of using the visual media technology of their choice.
Assessment
Students will be graded on their presentations to the class. Each presentation should include the students' own unique style and should reflect the students' creativity. This can be in the form of pictures, images, documents, video clips, sound clips, etc. Each presentation needs to address each of the questions below, and also answer them based on the research findings from each group:
1. What is the purpose of a resume?
2. What should be included on my resume?
3. How should my resume be formatted?
4. What should I definitely not include on my resume?
5. What are the most important aspects of a resume?
Each group should also create a sample resume, personally based on one member of the group.
