1. Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the elements involved with Resumes.
2. Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the elements involved with Cover Letters.
3. Students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of the Job Interview process.
4. Students will know that the purpose of a Resume is to secure a job interview.
5. Students will know that a Resume should be no longer than one page if you have under five years experience.
6. Students will know that a Resume should include contact information, summary of qualifications, professional experience, and education.
7. Students will know that a Resume should contain only truthful information.
8. Students will know that a Cover Letter should be customized for each resume that is submitted to potential employers.
9. Students will know that a Cover Letter should convey personal knowledge of both the company and the position being applied for.
10. Students will know that a Cover Letter should be addressed to an actual person whenever possible, rather than "To Whom It May Concern".
11. Students will know that the main focus during a Job Interview should be to convince the interviewer that you are the right person for the job.
12. Students will know that professional dress is a must for a Job Interview.
13. Students will know that good body language and eye contact must be displayed during a Job Interview.
14. Students will know that a well-written, personal "Thank You" note needs to follow-up a Job Interview whenever possible.
